👋🏼, I’m a hands-on engineering leader, Ex Dell, with 16+ years of IC experience and 7+ years leadership experience in building cloud based distributed Systems.

Most recently I led a team at Dell Secureworks to build the ingest pipeline for Taegis, a SaaS XDR platform that processes > 300B events a day.

This site shares lessons learned from years in engineering as an individual contributor and cloud practitioner.

    2018–2025

    Secureworks

    • Built Cloud ingest pipeline handling 300B+ events/day using IaC in AWS
    • Developed internal tooling, optimized onboarding experience using Nix
    • Optimized Spark on EKS
    • Championed diskless Kafka with PoC and successfull adoption in Production using WarpStream
  2. Principal Engineer

    2016–2018

    Secureworks

    • Developed Sandbox to inject adhoc python threat hunt algorithms into detection pipeline enabling rapid response to emerging threats
    • Modernized CI/CD pipeline, introduced quality gates. Introduced SOAP based microservice for adhoc threat report generation
  3. Sr. Software Engineer

    2011–2016

    Secureworks

    • Redesigned monolith to distributed system for scalability and high availability
    • Introduced SRE best practices, automated deployments, reduced alert fatigue, self-healing scripts
  4. Senior Engineer

    1998–2011

    Sabre

    • Built AirMax Revenue Optimizer: dynamic overbooking with minimal bumps
    • Developed flight IVR backend
    • Enhanced booking engine, mentored on testing, sped up builds 10×
    • Wrote a C logging library (inspired by log4j), leverage library to implement centralized logging that drastically reduced troubleshooting time and meet PCI compliance
